A Brooklyn native, Nell recently completed her latest album, "From Midnight On", recorded in New Orleans. Produced by John Hill and Marc Stone, the album includes Neil Young's longtime drummer Karl Himmel, Joe Krown on B3 Hammond Organ, and electric guitar from Chris Feinstein of Patty Griffin's "Flaming Red". The new record is a clear reflection of the inspiration Nell found in the soul and jazz of New Orleans.

Nell's music is influenced by her unique childhood. She grew up in an artist's loft with her father, an impressionist painter, and mother, a classical singer. Nell took her first piano lesson at two years old, and picked up cello at nine. She began writing her own songs on guitar when she was eighteen during a solo backpacking trip to Australia. Nell started to make a name for herself on the Boston live music scene while obtaining an English degree from Wellesley College. She moved back to her hometown of New York in March 2001.

Nell's travels to New Orleans this past year led to the new songs for her upcoming album, available in spring of 2007.

Her monthly NYC residencies have also been featured by the Village Voice, Timeout New York, and AM New York.

Tracks from the Nell Bryden EP were added to AAA and Clear Channel station playlists across the USA. She was also featured on internet and satellite stations like Radio AOL, Music Choice, and Radio io. Nell has performed live on FOX TV's Good Morning Atlanta and her recordings have been highlighted on Q104.3 "Out of the Box" (New York's #1 New Music Show). Nell was invited to be interviewed and to play live on Today with Pat Kenny (Ireland's RTE Radio 1) and has had plays on BBC Radio Scotland and Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2. Nell is also to be interviewed and will play live for Brighton's Juice FM on the 1st of August.
