Bobby Beausoleil- Proof that prison walls cannot imprison a passionate spirit
In the 60s Bobby was good friends with Charlie Manson and was incarcerated for committing
a drug related murder, which was inferred (but never proven) by authorities and the media alike to have
been connected to the Manson family and the Tate-La Bianca blood orgies.
Before his incarceration in 1969, Bobby BeauSoleil was a musician who spent much of his late teens
traveling the California coast between San Francisco and Los Angeles. During this period, he was on
the cutting edge of emerging musical styles and played with several innovative musical ensembles.
For all of the 37 years that he has been in prison, he has continued to explore new ways of expressing
himself through music, as well as in the visual arts..... more
Thomas Bromley
Thomas Bromley has a maturity of sound that belies the fact that he is only 23. His distinctive voice is
receiving the kind of reviews that confirm his talents as a musician, writer & performer. "a versatile
performer... well worth listening to" says Classic Rock Magazine while IndieLondon describe his debut single,
Danger Ahead taken from his debut album Two Nine Five as "An epic slice of pop/rock."
Nell Bryden
A Brooklyn native, Nell recently completed her latest album, "From Midnight On," recorded
in New Orleans. Produced by John Hill and Marc Stone, the album includes Neil Young's longtime
drummer Karl Himmel, Joe Krown on B3 Hammond Organ, and electric guitar from Chris Feinstein
of Patty Griffin's "Flaming Red". The new record is a clear reflection of the inspiration Nell
found in the soul and jazz of New Orleans.....

Kim Divine
There is a new star rising on the acoustic pop rock scene, and its Kim DiVine.
Her mesmerizing voice, heart felt lyrics and Martin Acoustic 000C16 capture audiences
instantly- and they're driving her fate to be one of music's preeminent performers.
Kim first hit San Diego in late 2005, but she's already made an extraordinary name
for herself playing on Clear Channel's "Brand X Big Break" on 91X Radio, San Diego's
indie 94.9FM, and unbelievably being asked to organize San Diego's 2005 GoGirlsMusicFest......

Maria Doyle Kennedy
Maria Doyle Kennedy is a powerful mixture between a folk siren and a punk-diva. She is one of the
great voices of Ireland. The Celtic Patti Smith.
Charm (2001) was a triumph of self-determination that encompassed everything from unadulterated
rock 'n' roll to left-field Americana and the kind of lyrical sensibility that suggested Lorca
rewriting creepy Eastern European fairytales. It also yielded a slew of singles, including Without U, Babes
and Stars Above.
A lot has happened since then. She set up her own Mermaid label, garnered a brace of Meteor Award
nominations, presided over the release of the Sirens compilation (featuring Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and
Lisa Germano among others) and more to the point, toured relentlessly at home and all over Europe, playing Glastonbury
and Witnness, all the time forging the new sounds and textures demanded by her rapid growth as a singer, bandleader and
songwriter...... more

Claire Hamill
Claire Hamill was born and brought up around Middlesbrough, in the North-East of England.
She began playing and writing as a teenager and released her first album, 'One House Left Standing',
on Island Records at the age of seventeen. Claire's first U.K. tour, in 1971, was with
John Martyn and Jess Roden's 'Bronco'; and a year later she toured the U.S. with Procul Harum and
Jethro Tull. During this time she wrote the songs that were to form the basis of her second album,
'October'. This album was recorded at The Manor, Richard Branson's studio, where she met Mike
Oldfield who was recording 'Tubular Bells'. When 'October' was finished Claire went on tour again,
this time around the U.K. and Europe, supporting King Crimson.....more
The Legends
In 2003 and 2004 The Legends received world wide recognition with the hyped debut 'Up against the
Legends'. Now The Legends return with an album that is bound to take the world by surprise. 'Public
Radio' echoes of the early 80's and sounds futuristic at the same time. They mix influences from
bands like New Order, Felt, Feelies and The Cure with their own pop aesthetics and turn it into
something utterly wonderful and new.....more
The Loons
THE LOONS' uniquely, multi-national line-up creates a distinctive sound combining the hard,
kinetic drive of European freakbeat with the psychotic melodic cool of California's Sunset Strip
circa '66. While the band draws heavy inspiration from groups like the Pretty Things, the Yardbirds
and Love, they are also fiercely original in their approach, creating their own uniquely intense
songs rather than opting to be '60 garage jukeboxes.....more
The Misunderstood
The Misunderstood may just be the greatest lost band of the 1960s. They had the gifts, the
creativity, the chemistry, the ambition, the drive - all the ingredients to make it, plus that extra
indefinable 'magic' in their sound, which in its purest moments seemed tuned to a wonderful and
strangely magnetic frequency. Torn apart by the Vietnam War draft the band was denied the breakthrough
they deserved.....more
Muslimgauze
Bryn Jones was not a practicing Muslim and never went to the Middle East. His recordings as
Muslimgauze, however, qualified him as one of the Western artists most explicitly slanted in his
favour of the Palestinian liberation movement. Since the Manchester-native's works were instrumental,
most of the political statement was inherent in the packaging.....more
The Mustangs
Two minutes and five seconds of tough fuzz, stomp and bad attitude, the Mustangs' 1965 single
'That's For Sure' is considered one of the Holy Grails of '60s garage rock. That one, hopelessly rare
45 would be their only release. However, in January 1966 the Mustangs went into Locy Sound in Riverside,
California, where they recorded 14 more songs, demonstrating not only their dynamism and versatility as
a live cover band, but also their remarkable talent for original material, from wailing rockers to
haunting Beatlesque ballads. Those tracks are presented here for the first time, along with 'That's For
Sure' and its grooving instrumental flipside 'Nova Blues'.....more
My Device
Appearing just in time to save your weekend, My Device aren?t afraid to stop
music in its tracks and make you move your feet, gnash your teeth and get
on heat. Brighton three-piece My Device - consisting of Todd (22), Doogle (22)
and Russ (22)- release their debut album Nervous System on Monday 18th
September through Shifty Disco Records. Nervous System delivers a frantic

Point Loma
Bostich (Ramon Amezcua) uses Point Loma as an excuse for experiments with his collection of obscure
analog synthesizers, began his career in electronic music in 1988 with the release of two ambient
electronic albums. He worked with Panoptica and Fussible to establish the Nortec sound, an original
musical style blending the sounds of traditional instruments of Tijuana with electronic
beats.....more
Pretty Things
The Pretty Things have been a magnet for controversy since their inception. At a time when the Rolling
Stones were seen as the ultimate nonconformists, the Pretty Things made them look tame by comparison.
The band members' hair was longer, their lifestyles wilder, and their music louder and more extreme.
Although their commercial success was limited, the Pretty Things were able not only to survive, but to
evolve from R&B punks to psychedelic vanguards to 1970s hard rockers and beyond. Born survivors,
they continue to command a loyal following without ever compromising their
ideals or "bad boy" image.....more
Joe Purdy
After performing around Los Angeles and picking up a great deal of local attention, Purdy released StompinGrounds
in 2003. The album grabbed the attention of the local L. A. music scene, but it was the songs on his next two albums
that would reach the ears of a national audience. Julie Blue was written and recorded in one week in 2004 during a
vacation in upstate New York and along with Only Four Seasons, the albums' simultaneous release showcases the two
extremes of his music.....more
The Silver Wizard
The Silver Wizard, aka John Goff: A lifelong passion for music and synthesizers crafted the mind and
music of John Goff, aka; The Silver Wizard. Born in Encinitas, California, John was more interested
in the music of Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, than enjoying the surf of So. Cal. Throughout his
youth, he explored and studied a variety of music, learning theory firsthand by playing bagpipes
competively for 14 years.....more
Starline Theorie
Starline Theorie was formed in early 2002. The initial concept was to bring diverse outlooks and
influences together, juxtaposing sounds and styles. The core group consists of Thomas Fuhr on guitars,
Dustin Luna on drums and loops, and Wood on bass. The group has a revolving cast of singers and players
with upwards of 10 people on stage at some shows and as little as 4 on others. The band's first release
was 'Vega', released locally in 2003 and internationally in March of 2004.....more
Suburban Kids with Biblical Names
Suburban Kids with Biblical Names wants to "turn all the dance floors into a burning inferno
of Ba-ba-ba" to quote the Kids themselves. And mark their words, with songs like 'Rent a wreck',
they are destined to do so.
They've only existed since December 2003, still they already sound as if they've been writing
songs together since the beginning of time. Or perhaps more like children who've played together
forever. There's something very playful and extremely catchy about their music that makes them
stand out from the rest.....more
Jah Wobble
Hurled out of the desolate streets of Stepney at 18 and into the nascent Public Image Ltd. (PIL),
Jah Wobble was fundamental in shaping the virulent nihilism of punk into sonic and melodic extremes
that evoked everything from dub reggae to Stockhausen. In Lydon, who was always more of a theorist
than he dared admit, Wobble found the perfect early foil. It was PIL's avant garde experiments on
Metal Box that ushered in a credibility to punk's more frivolous tendencies. "Miles and miles ahead-
follow with care" was how the NME described those new sounds.....more
Renata Youngblood
**Nominated 'Female Singer-Songwriter of the Year 2006' by the LA Music Awards
**Nominated 'Adult Alternative Album of the Year 2005' by the LA music Awards
Born in Los Angeles, California and now residing in San Diego, Renata Youngblood's love for music
began with a strict training in concert piano. However; she naturally gravitated toward composing.
Her first composition at the age of seven took first in city and second in state in the Reflections
Talent Contest
Youngblood was introduced to the guitar after a brief flirtation with jazz piano and improvisation.
She quickly taught herself to play acoustic guitar with her knowledge of musical theory and ear
training. During this time Renata was consistently writing more songs and, in doing so, developing
a style of performance that is original, rhythmic and rich in melody. Her percussive finger picking
style with the acoustic guitar directly mirrors her skill of piano playing......more
